Today our mast got new shrouds after just 10 seasons.
After all, it is 15.5 metres high and that with a boat length of around 9 metres.
But we wouldn't be able to manage the 41 m2 mainsail any other way, despite our extreme squarehead. That creates a lot of dynamic forces in the standing rigging. Safety simply comes first.
In the meantime, the shipyard has parked a motorised piece of gold out of the warehouse.
